Welcome
Seeking support for yourself or your family may be difficult. As a trauma informed therapist, I support an in depth assessment of needs and strengths. Thorough exploration of your history helps to collaborate on the work to do in the present moment. Sessions can be tailored to your needs to help reduce or resolve your symptoms leading to an improved quality of life. My experience working in community mental health has led to extensive knowledge of effective ways to sadness, worry, and trauma reactions.
Feeling worried more often than not?
The experience of worry can be taxing to yourself and those around you. Worry happens for all of us but you have recently found yourself more in your head than in the present moment. The worries may keep you up at night and getting the worries to stop has become too much. The potential purpose of your worries: something is off and your mind wants to focus on this ‘off experience’ to get us to do something different. Another possibility can be that the worries are protecting us from something that was once unsafe. Extensive reactions in your body and mind can be a stuck point where a scary experience occurred in the past and the body/mind have not resolved that we are no longer in that stuck point.
Sadness creeping up?
The weight of sadness can slowly creep up and make its prevalent presence in your life. As much as you try to feel better, it seems hard to complete everyday tasks and days merge together making it hard to differentiate what is happening. You don’t want the sadness since you did not invite it or have some big life event happen that would somehow validate your sadness. Either way, the sadness has made it’s appearance and you are wanting support for managing it.
Stuck?
Experiencing a stuck point in life can feel debilitating, is this just the way you are? Is there no hope for change? Your experiences with problematic patterns make it so that it is hard to look forward to anything being different. Maybe if you sit with the stuck feeling long enough, you realize, i’ve felt this before… This core belief that I am ‘___________’. Meant to be in the ‘mess’. As you realize, this belief about yourself started way before. Something happened in your life that led you to internalize and personalize the things happening outside of you. You are ready to feel flexibility with your life day to day.
Let’s connect and coordinate the support you are looking for.
